Trapped in ice on the west coast of Spitsbergen, Antarctica is the refuge of a research program on the formation of deep cold waters that feed the circulation of the world ocean. After the long winter night, the sun emerged over the horizon. The time had come to explore this island where bears come to give birth. At the end of spring and the breakup of the ice pack we saw the arrival of migratory birds, belugas, walruses… unforgettable. Today, wherever I go, I carry these images within me, inexhaustible sources of fertile imaginations and wonder.
