In the spring of 2010, the doctor and explorer Jean-Louis Etienne undertook an aerial crossing of the North Pole in a rozière (a type of hot air balloon). This album recounts, day after day, hour after hour, the adventures of this extraordinary journey above the ice floe. Technical problems, weather “surprises” and wonderful landscapes will follow one another at a breathless pace for five days.
